The Pug Wiki is not truly a "wiki" in the sense that anyone can edit it - but it is about publishing Pug breed information in a way that can be documented and sourced in a scholarly manner. We are tired of hearing bits and pieces spouted by people who have their own agenda when it comes to what they tell you. Remember, just like this page, ANYONE can make a web site and put anything on it they want to. Web pages are the great equalizer of society today - you can be John Doe or Johnny Depp when you write - you have the same authority no matter who you are. So we decided to write for those who want to learn and at least want more than "I said so" as the basis of what they are learning.

We want you to know first of all that the Pug Wiki is NOT published by someone trying to sell you a Pug - not a puppy, not a rare color, not show dog, not a teacup or a mini. The Pug Wiki is here to give you information. Yes, we who publish the Wiki have an opinion on many subjects, and there will be many people who disagree with our opinions. You can make your own site and publish if you want to.
